Ok so right now I have

Asus 990fx sabertooth board with fx6200 with like 12gb of ram
My video card is a Gtx 760
I'm wanting to know if I should switch to an Intel board and get an Intel CPU instead..

Because I'm about 100% sure that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU.

Now the big question is should I completely switch to Intel OR
just upgrade CPUs?

Unlikely bottlenecking with that gpu

Overclock and see if there a difference

imo just upgrade cpu.. way cheaper.. and if you still arent happy in the difference, just wait it out till the fall when the "zen" is released..

the 8320/8350 should be a nice upgrade from your 6200, and if you overclock; and your case permits it.. the corsair h100i gt/gtx, or the h110i gtx are prime options ( i use the h100i gt on my 8320, max temps so far havnt gone over 40*c)

up to you in the end result really.. spend a couple hundred for a upgrade to get you by for now, or spend a thousand for a new setup?

It is very unlikely that your cpu is bottlenecking a 760, if you play games in resonable settings. Of course there are a few cpu intense games that dont need much GPU power, but in 90% of the games you should be fine.
If you discribe the problems you are experienceing in more detail we might be able to help you resolve them.

Before we venture too deep into 'ifs', you probably should tell us
- What games you play? Please also include the games/type of games you wish to play when you've upgraded.
- Do you always have a stream/Youtube video on the background while playing.
- Have you used a monitoring software to confirm this assumption of yours?

If you already know it's the CPU, it'd be pointless for you to make this thread. That's why I believe there is a reason to doubt your decision.
