Since my old pc wont fit into my new room anymore, i am going to build a new one. -> http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/KT3vTW
Sadly my old cooler (Thermalright Macho X2) does not fit the new case, which is sad because i liked it as it was dead silent. Can anyone recommend any good and quite cpu cooler that are not higher then 140mm.

Most of these smaller cpu cooler go up to 28+ dba and it is kind of hard to judge which will result in decent cooling at low fan speed. Anyone got experience with smaller coolers?

wouldn't that would mess up the air flow. Thats the reason why i am not going with intel's stock cooling (plus the insane noise level ofcourse)
Thats the airflow i would like. http://www.thermaltake.de/db/products/case/coreV1/pic5.jpg

I already thougth about getting any decent head spreader, throwing away the fan and attach 2 quite low rpm fans at the front and back, but i really dislike the idea of "Y"ing my fan header (not sure if my worries about it are justified).

Thank you. But i think i am going to order this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/arctic-cooling-cpu-cooler-freezer7prorev2
Its pretty much the biggest heat spreader that will fit, and i am going to mount / glue / whatevery some silent fan in front of it. Still got some 16dba 44CFM fans lying around.

Anyway thanks for your input.

i got all that basic stuff somewhere. Just hope that if fitt's with the ram, as i want to mount 2x "be quiet! shadow" fans at the front and back of the cooler.
Well, i will just have to try. i am gonne tell you in a couple of weeks how it worked out.
