Okay so this is what I've been using the past year or so:

I can barely browse the web without it constantly lagging/ freezing.
Most games can't even run on it..
I am really uneducated when it comes to this type of thing, even though i spend a huge amount of my time gaming!
I just want something I can stream videos on, play games at a decent quality without lag/ glitchyness, ect.. nothing flashy/ fancy!
Some of the questions I didn't know how to answer simply because I'm dumb so please spoonfeed.

Budget: $300
More specific use (what games, what programs): League of Legends, Runescape, P.O.E, WoW, HotS
Planned time until purchase: 2 weeks
Do you need an Operating System?: umm? idk?
Do you have any specific preferred components?: as stated i know nothing about this
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: idk?
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: idk?
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: not unless i can just use the current ones i have
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 56601/ MN

Hmm, idk what any of that means but I'm assuming it's decently better than what I currently use?

you cant build a pc on 300$ that runs path of exile at decent frame rates.

If you post exactly what hardware you are using at the moment we can see if there is some basis for upgreading.

well.. thats bad. there is absolutly nothing that can be reused from this computer.
You wont get any decent new computer with your budget.

Your best chance is to check ebay for a used pc. Maybe someone is selling good in shape old gaming pc with a 1366x768 monitor.

do this... depending on pre arranged price, this would be more worth your time than getting pretty much the same build for the budget you are giving us.. cheapest setup i could do is an AMD build for $475 (after $70 MIR)

Okay how about I throw this into the mixture.. I bought an Alienware gaming laptop about 5 months ago off of CL for $150- At first it checked out okay.. the exterior looked/ looks like new, it ran decently browsing the web and playing minimal games like LoL, D2, Runescape.. I decided to factory reset the laptop for a fresh start and upon booting it I had to undergo hours of windows updates.. bad idea, now LoL will lag unless on minimum settings, can't play runescape at all or most games in general.. it generally seemed to have taken a crap after I factory reset it.
Maybe someone can help me look at it? See if there are possible upgrades to help performance?
