Currently speedfan says my CPU temp is ~70-72 C while playing games
I'm currently using a stock cooler, any recommendations on a better one? Will this be able to handle it? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr910htx3g1

does your cpu start to reduce the clock speed.
as long as it is still running with its regular clock speed you are fine.

also if you have not done it: clean your fans and cooler.

how far have you overclocked it? i have my 8320 overclocked to a stable 4.5ghz with a h100i gtx liquid cooling setup and have never hit temps above 40*c..

even the stock cooler before i installed the liquid setup, overclocked to 4.4ghz only ever hit temps of 58*c, improper install of the heat sync maybe?

how long have you had this build? just wondering if its time to reapply thermal paste? regardless, id upgrade the cooler to at least the 212 evo/plus, if you have the extra money, and your case allows it, get the h100i gtx/h110i gtx

**any "casing" temperature reading should not read above 60*c, as 60+*c is the burn/fail temps for the 8320, induvidual "core" temps fluctuate and read a false temperature constantly; average from 3/5*c - upwards of 80/90*c

you can check your proper core "casing temp for the 8320 using AIDA64 http://www.aida64.com/downloads

also.. if you could post a speccy s/s please?

ive listed the 3 top coolers I WOULD go with for this processor http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LFxLzy

212evo ~ i installed this on my fathers 8350 temps havnt hit higher than 55*c

Corsair h100i gtx ~ i have this, specs of my temp readings above

Deepcool CAPTAIN 360 ~ i installed this on a pc i built for a close friend, averages about the same temperature readings as the h100i gtx..

in the end it will really depend on the ammount of space you have to play with for an aftermarket cooler/rad setup.

best of luck with whichever your decision is..
