Hey guys. I'm just wondering if I was going to be doing 3D modelling and other things on a PC what you would put in it (build idea) online site I would like is Pccasegear.

It'll mostly be for 3D modelling / Coding.

Just need an upgrade from my piece of crap PC :)

Budget: 1k (I know low, just as a hobby though)

/e I was told higher ram and a good graphics card with a medium CPU would be best? Is that true?

I don't know anything about modelling, but which program will you be using?
That might help others come up with a build for you.

Also, fill this out
Budget:
More specific use (what games, what programs):
Planned time until purchase:
Do you need an Operating System?:
Do you have any specific preferred components?:
Do you need a sound or wireless card?:
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?:
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?:
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs):

There is really no point posting about a purchase you're not going to make for a "few months".

Best thing to do is post about a week or less, before you are ready to buy. Prices, deals, coupons etc., change daily if not hourly. I've seen certain items go out of stock like 5 mins after they first came in stock. ;)

/e Also, when looking for good prices on a new build, pretty much nothing beats PCPartpicker...and yes, they have an Australia version. :)

I have no idea what the conversion rate is, between the US and AUS. But PcPartpicker has tons of builds, on their site, and their forums will ofc, have comments on them as well.

But, for what you want to do, I would guess 1000 - 1200 AUS would be fine.

Spend some time checking out their site, and you'll have a better idea of what YOU will want when the time comes.

Blender only renders on CPU or GPU and the CPU is a lot faster so he should be fine with 750ti. Unreal Engine could use some GPU power, if he does that more than Blender.

I was just looking at some of the builds they have on there... I don't know why but there are a lot that are just terrible..
then you read the comments and people are praising how bad they are..

I like it for ease of finding parts and just to waste some time, but I can't say I would use many of the builds on there.
