I haven't used either type of adapter, but if I had to I would go this route personally.
thought about it for a sec and realized adapter isn't going to increase the power delivered. still only going to be 75 watts through the 6 pin array. so i'm guessing extra 2 pins on adapter are probably additional grounds? lol
running games etc fine on the 225w i'm supplying, and since nothing i do taxes my system much, think i'll just roll with it. /shrug
