http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rGTchM... unfortunately restrictions on that mobo limit the cpu to a small list.. ive listed what i believe to be the best one in the part picker link..
e/ the other thing i have to ask/mention is to look to see if there is any swelling on any of the capacitors on the motherboard, the only reason i am saying this is because that is an old board. if there is even ONE swollen capacitor the cpu upgrade/replacement would just be a waste of time and money... it might just be time to spend an extra hundred or so on a new mobo/cpu thats a bit more current.
like this... its approximately 100 $ more.. but more up to date, even though it is still concidered "old tech".
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZcF7hMyou should be able to just swap everything from your current build onto this board. you'd just need to do a fresh install of your operating system...
