Been out of the country traveling for a while so I am a little out of the loop.. I am looking to upgrade my graphics card when I get home and am wondering

What are some of the best graphics cards these days I can get for <600$?

I would go with the 980ti. Its a steal at $599.

I have an EVGA 980ti hybrid. It's probably the best (common) single Graphics card you can buy. It'll run games in 4k at reasonable framerates; or 1080p and 1440p games at 100+ FPS. What type of monitor do you have? One thing to keep in mind is the proprietary adaptive sync technologies (g-sync vs freesync).
