Got like 450 bucks of Amazon gift cards from Christmas. Have no idea what to spend it on so figured I'd spend it on my rig.

Current build, peripherals, and everything:

I honestly am kinda tired of the case, so if there isn't anything that just sticks out that I should upgrade, recommend a case or something. Idk.

Yeah you have a really solid build there.
If you aren't satisfied with your current graphics performance you could maybe upgrade your graphics.
Something like an R9 390/Gtx 970 - but unfortunately there isn't anything in the 400-450 dollar price bracket right now...There are only cards for about 300ish dollars or 500+

As for cases, what do you like?
H440?

Air 540?

They come in white as well. But recommending a case is the hardest since it can be all about personal taste ^^

Those aren't bad. I'm looking for something that is a bit smaller than my current one without being really difficult to get in and out of (if that makes any sense whatsoever).
Thanks for the options.

Yeah skylake is one of those ideas that sounds amazing yet... takes a lot of effort to replace mobos.
As for the drones, gg wp.

Something I forgot to mention was considering overclocking your current processor. If you purchased an aftermarket cooler of some kind you'd be able to turn on a decent overclock :)
The evo penguins mentioned is a great cost/performance cooler. Though there are other coolers if you are interested in some recommends, let us know ^^

upgrading from your current processor to skylake would make a pretty small difference imo.

I didn't even think of that, I have a hyper 212 evo and a 3570k on an ASRock z77 Extreme4 mobo
overclocked it to 4.2 ghz easily and didn't mess with voltage or any of that fun stuff yet (no need lol)

also, this

yeah i gave my brother my 212 evo b/c he wanted to overclock but i could always get another. i was thinking about doing something like water cooling just for the aesthetic.

Would getting a 4k monitor or 1440p be a decent idea? Or would I need to upgrade my gpu too? If so, what would I need to get?

e/ I can't justify spending any money on a new case b/c well.. it's a case.
e2/ I can make a little more cash appear but I don't wanna be dropping a ton.
