id like to spend $100 and buy it on newegg.

my rig:
NZXT S340 Case
Intel Core i5-4690K Quad-Core 3.5 GHz Processor
ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX Video Card
GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 Motherboard
G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB Memory
EVGA 80 PLUS Bronze 750W Power Supply

What cooler do you currently have? You likely won't get much better performance unless you're using a stock cooler. If you want to save space for some reason or just get something more aesthetically pleasing, then fine, but you'll only likely get +/- 3-5 degrees difference.

Anyway, you can currently get an H100i GTX for $100 if you're in the US. If not, you're looking at something similar to an H80/H80i or an H55/H60.

What ? I got 15 c drop in mine. Maybe u had bad luck with a bad or crappy raidator

15c drop from a decent aftermarket air cooler vs liquid? I doubt it

That really depends if its AIO or custom, how good is the airflow in your case, fans used ect.

Got about the same setup as op (waiting to get a new 16gb ddr3 set atm, reverted to stock until then).
I ran cooler oc'd on water than stock tx3 evo. roughly 20c difference when both have same oc. stock vs stock ~10c-15.


Then again tx3 is pretty budget, lot better than stock though. :)
