2x 4gb gskill ripjaw ram sticks came in the mail today.. should i return them or just say fk it and put it in the machine?

basically, i ordered them in the first place because i had a different build in mind.. when i tried to return them newegg said they were already preparing for shipment and its too late to cancel the order therefore id have to do a RMA... but if they will work fine with the machine i posted i might as well utilize them?

You cant RMA an item just because you dont want it. There has to be something wrong with it. If newegg wont accept your return, I'm afraid your stuck with it.

ok, that being said..

if i use 2 different brands of RAM, will it do anything fucky? Or as long as theyre both compatible nothing irritating will happen?

They do need to be compatible. To what extent, I am unsure. I believe combining brands is OK as long as the specifications are the same (DDR4 2400, 8GB (2 x 4GB), Cas Latency: 16, Timing 16-16-16-36)
I'd wait for a second opinion though because i've only read about this in passing.
