I'm no professional when it comes to desktop computers, but I was looking to buy a used one for some gaming, my budget was between $200-$250 CAD.

This is what I found around my area:

Not sure if its better to have duo core with a higher processor speed or a quad core processor with lower speed. Any advice or opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Also, I will be bargaining with these guys as I am confident I can knock off a few $ off the price

My opinion is that you should not buy a computer for $200.
That would be totally useless, might as well visit your nearest computer parts recycling store and build one from the trash they have there.

I agree and would rather spend over $800 to build my own, but I'm trying my best to keep a budget on everything I buy nowadays because I'm trying to save up for a bigger purchase.

Anything that would last a year or two that offers a non frustrating gaming experience is what I'm looking for.

well, u didnt tell us what games you play. Unless it's d2 or minesweeper like games,
you are going to be frustrated playing any recent games on decent settings with any of those 4 links you provided.

a $200-250 computer in Canada is literally not worth buying, you're literally throwing $200-250 away for scraps

league of legends, D3 and a game called Tibia. I don't care so much for graphics just as long as it runs smooth, even if its on low settings.

Sorry I guess I should of added that I wasn't going to be hardcore gaming. Just something to pass my limited free time with.

do you have a case, hard drive, windows, monitor, kb, mouse?

if so, why not get a new basic motherboard, processor, ram and possibly vid card?

if not.. heres an intel build under 300: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/zfrtvK

and an amd build under 300: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/NKHJJx
