Buddy of mine has a GTX 770 and is wondering what would be a good upgrade from there. He's looking in the 350-450 range.

what resolution is his monitor
what games does he play
why does he want to upgrade? gpu stuttering? low fps?

not worth upgrading at 350-450 range tbh

1920x1080

BF4 and War Thunder mostly. Dabbles in Arma 2/3 sometimes. He's probably getting a few more AAA titles for Christians.

Wants to upgrade because it's been a couple years on this one and thinks it's time update. I was thinking 970 but I don't know how much of an improvement it will be.

it would be good to know his full current build. a 970 would be an improvement... but not a $300 improvement.
possible that upgrading other components would be better for him. 770 is still a good gpu. honestly unless you are having issues you can't deal with don't upgrade it will almost always be a huge waste of money... lol (I know from experience)

u mean 770?

no point wasting $350+ on 970 especially when playing at 1080

Will be better than 970 for sure. But idk if u would wanna buy another discontinued card... They're more expensive for the card and harder to replace if something goes wrong.

Rather better to just save up for a 980ti or the next Gen cards =P

We just dicked around eBay for a bit and found some for 150.
