My CPU had two pins bent right after I opened the package. I bent them back and installed the CPU. 5 beeps (meaning bad CPU).. should I contact newegg telling them the CPU is bad or telling them the pins are bent and I bent them in and hten CPU was bad? Which is better for me to have a easier time returning?

Id say its bent off purchase, if you break it you buy it basically. Just tell them the shipping or something must have not been gentle with it or something, if they deny the offer id take it to paypal and file a claim, get your money back. Say faulty item and didnt work.

I took pictures of the pins before. ALso the processor didnt come with one of those styrofoam things the pins stick in like usual

Should I mention that i bent them and it posted as bad CPU

so just say its bent or just say it is giving beep code as bad cpu?

Just tell them it's DOA....doesn't work.
