Budget: $2,000
More specific use (what games, what programs): Photoshop and Illustrator running at the same time, After effects. Little bit of League of Legends
Planned time until purchase: Would like the parts to arrive on thanksgiving or before 25-27th
Do you need an Operating System?:Yes
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Nope
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: Wireless card would be nice, but not sure if they're hard to install. Looked at a few guides and they don't mention wireless cards. If it's too hard to install for a newbie, then rather not deal with it.
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?:I don't plan on overclocking
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Would like dual monitors
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 90016

What are your preferences in case style? (lights, flashy, dull, etc) Don't care, just want something sturdy and enough room to install everything easily
Are you planning to use multiple monitors? Dual
Are you looking for upgrade-ability? In the far future, maybe
Do you have any preferred brands? Nope
Can you reuse any components from an older build? Nope, first time building one
Is there anything else you think we should know? Nope

Thanks for the help.

First off, here's a build link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tHNkNG

Now: Get the CPU and motherboard from the Microcenter in Tustin - You'll save a lot of money on their in-store only CPU/MB bundles.
You can get a legitimate Windows key from /r/MicrosoftSoftwareSwap on Reddit. Not knowing what versions of PS/Illustrator you're running, I didn't want to just throw in Win10 and have it not be compatible.
There's plenty of room in the budget to go with different monitors if you want, or more storage (if you do a lot of video editing, storage is going to be very important).

I should've mentioned these things before, sorry.

I will only be in the 90016 area for the thanksgiving weekend 26-28th, visiting family and I go to school in a different city. I was planning on arriving there and just building the PC (learning curve/first time for me and my brother), and taking the PC back with me.
Do you think I should order the parts, including mobo and cpu, all online? Then return the mobo and cpu if I get the chance to purchase both parts in Microcenter, or should I just wait til I get to LA and go to Microcenter, buy the cpu and mobo, and finish the build when I return to my area?

Also, I'm running Adobe CC (latest version).

A lot of vendors dont offer returns on CPUs - only replacements. If you intend to buy the bundle from microcenter, be careful where you order from if you intend to return the cpu and motherboard.

Thanks for the help Surfpunk, really appreciate it. If I had FGs I would throw it your way. Also, thanks for the tip DeXaFiLaH.

I still haven't made the purchase yet because I'm trying to get my brother who lives in LA to go to microcenter n buy the cpu n mobo before I pull the trigger. Meanwhile, I've been doing some reading and overclocking is intriguing to me.. If I were to do it, would I have to purchase a different build or would this build be able to handle overclocking?

Thanks for the help.

If you will be in a diff city when you order the parts, it would be better to leave the parts in the boxes they came in, and ship them (ina bigger box) to the city where the PC will be used.

Shipping an already built PC is problematic. The vid card is heavy, and has to be removed anyways, before shipping. If the CPU is air cooled, the air cooler will have to be removed as well.
Monitors always survive shipping best, in their original packaging.

I would think seriously about his before trying to ship an already assembled PC.

Not shipping it, driving from LA to San Jose. It's a 6 hour drive that I always do.

So yeah, anyone know if overclocking would work with this set up? Pulling the trigger tonight.

Not with that motherboard...no. That motherboard doesn't have overclocking abilities.

Mind helping me alternate the setup so I can overclock it?

Complete noob; I wouldn't know what mobo to choose.
