processor swaps?
thinkin AMD Phenom II X4 960T .. question is will it support the quad core ?>> if it will should i just say screw it and go to an x6 6 core?

video card options ?

i have a gtx 750 ti sitting here .. but it says VGA ? no pci-e slot?

possible power supply if it wont cut it ?
i think this will be ok for what i need to do to it

I doubt that computer supports over 65w processors, I wouldn't dump money into it.

What's he/she wanting to accomplish? Faster UI? Better gaming performance? More multitasking? You could drop a phenom II x3 in there.

it gets a little sluggish and i think his CPU is really holding him down

i gave him one of my old SSD an 840 evo and just dropped in my old video card from an old setup .. and it helped alot but im still not happy lol

was hoping to drop a quad core in it at least.

I have dual-core's from the core 2 era that perform just fine for every day tasks, even gaming; You could literally pick up a used core 2 rig for fairly cheap or even a pre-built LGA 775 hp/dell/similar, drop in a xeon quad core (with a simple mod) for $20 - These things game just fine and are usually my quick-flip money makers.

which is kind of what i was going for with this guys setup .. cheapo parts and a decent end result

the is an am3 socket tho
