Hey all, So i was looking at upgrading my pc and realised its probably better to just build a new computer!
It is something i have never done before from scratch, but i have replaced parts and have general knowledge i guess

I have no clue what to look at but a friend tells me the 6thgen z170 is the way to go with my budget, what do you all think?

Budget: $1200 Australian (around $850 usd...)
More specific use (what games, what programs): D2,D3,WOW, CSGO, CSS, etc
Planned time until purchase: One month!
Do you need an Operating System?: NO
Do you have any specific preferred components?: no
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: no
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: stock cooling
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: i have a monitor mouse and keyboard but may look at upgrading to a hdmi monitor down the track
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): australia, nsw, 2767

Please bump this thread as you get closer to the purchase date.
Prices change too frequently to recommend something now and having you purchase it later

Also, your budget probably won't fit skylake just yet, maybe in a month depending on the deals and if prices of mobos drop slightly, or you opt to NOT get a ssd.

whichever is cheaper, you don't need a z board unless it has something you want that the h170 does not

So i decided to make a few builds.... then i can decide with what i want

Not sure which one to use. any advice or edits anyone may recommend?

All builds have the Asus GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card which is about $300.... was considering not buying that and using my curent gpu in my pc till i build up a little more money to buy something like this because the build ended up being a little more expensive then i thought lol

#1 - $1412.00 AU ---------------ASUS Z170 1151 Pro Gamer / Skylake i5-6600K 3.5GHz ------------------ --- http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/VRMwBm

#2 - $1314.00 AU ---------------ASUS Z170-M Plus 1151/ Skylake i5-+6500 3.2GHz --------------------------- http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZkRz3C

#3 - $1272.00 AU -------------- Asus H170M-PLUS 1151 / Skylake i5 6500 3.2GHz ---------------------------- http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/4sWfWZ

pretty much identical to your #1 build but closer to your budget
avoid CX600 psu, 212x is newer & cheaper than evo, no need for 16gb ram but its up 2 u.
if u know ur 100% not going to overclock, go for 6500.

but honestly, for ur uses u can even go 4460.
