I was unsure where to post this, and general chat isn't going to get me the answer, but does anyone have a soundproof headphone that they'll vouch for? I'm looking to buy one but don't know which I should get. What's the difference between the 150$ ones and the 300$ ones?

Needing these for on the go? Or simply using for home/gaming

Astro 40/50 though pricey they give comfort and virtually sound proof even though they're not marketed for it

I use my old a40s for on the go for planes etc and never get background noise

Your post is vague. We will need some more information to help you.

Budget?
What type of headphones do you prefer? Around ear, on ear, in ear?
What are the headphones used for?
If games, what type?
If music, what genre(s)?
What type of environments will you be be using the headphones? At home, commuting, etc?
What source will the headphones be connected to? Computer, phone, DAP, amp/dac?

As for sound-proof headphones, you can find noise-cancelling or passively isolating headphones. Generally, noise-cancelling headphones are more expensive and require an extra power source (batteries) in order to work. Passively isolating headphones are just headphones that are made to keep sound from going in and out due to the construction and may have better quality sound.
