Hey guys, i built a budget pc about 3 years ago and have since upgraded a few items. right now im running windows 10.
i have a
AMD FX-8350 black edition
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 667MHz
MSI 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641) (CPU1)
Intel 240GB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
It feels like something is bottnecking my computer badly, playing POE mjolner or CoC discharge even on low settings just wrecks my FPS(like to the point of the screen freezing as they go off).
IMO my pc should be able to handle this game on highest settings easily, but im obviously missing something. Any input would be appriciated, and yes i know intel is a better processor, but i seriously doubt thats my problem.
Oh btw i'm not overclocking anything its all running at factory specs. CPU is turned up to 4800 GHZ i think.

You shouldn't be struggling at all, you need to look into other means. Such as viruses or something not working as intended I had my computer maxing out disk usage for a while so my computer would lag every 15 seconds.

4800 Ghz is quite a lot sir. the 8350 is stock at 3.5 ghz and turbos up to 4 ghz. you may wantto shave up 4796 ghz off your cpu and that should fix your issues.
Otherwise, agree with acuity. Try running spybot search and destroy + malwarebytes. maybe throw avast into the mix. if that doesn't fix your issue, i would probably try reinstalling graphic drivers.

I just fixed a similar issue, possibly..
Are you wired or wireless?
How high is your ram usage?
Are you experiencing hard faults? (Info can be seen in task manager)
Shoot me a pm if you are wired and your ram is high

If it's 4.8, obviously overheating.
16 gb ram, kinda doubt it's getting full any soon :/
A disk failure is possibility as well,
I suggest you reading windows logs

the CPU temp while playing normally stays around 45-50 C while playing and my gx card is normally 65-70 C ( witch ive always thought was very high but readying up on the 970 people say thats pretty common)
Its not a virus or i format my ssd every few months and reinstall OS.
I do not play wireless i am hardwired. ill check ram usage.
