I thought this might be fun since I've got some money to drop on it.
I'm gonna specify that I only need one video card, though, because I keep seeing high budget builds wherein 70% of the cost is two high end cards. One will do me

- Budget: $2000
- Zip Code or Location: 98362
- Specific Use: High graphics gaming, console emulation, high def movies
- Any preferred components?: This case http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-c70-mid-tower-gaming-case-military-green
needs a bluray player but not necessarily burner
needs plenty of USB too. Even if it's just a hub
I'm super paranoid about temperature so please put the best possible cooling systems
26" maximum on the monitor
also, I have a soft spot for Asus products so load up on 'em
- Any spare parts you can re-use?: none
- Overclocking your processor?: no
- Need an Operating System?: windows 10
- Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard?: a corsair gaming mouse
- Need a Wireless Card or Adapter? yes
- Need Another Component? (Specify):

shooters, gamecube emus, etc. Running Crysis 3 on max options for example. Or Bf3 or something.

if you can get me a 27 inch that isn't $400 that's ok. I just don't see the point in spending a quarter of the budget on it.

I'm not an elitist, so I'd probably go with ips. Unless you can still make it pretty great with a $600 monitor.

Here you go. Throw in some extra case fans for additional airflow/cooling (I don;t have the specs for the C70 in front of me, so check that to see what sizes/number you'd need.

And don't buy a pre-built.
