So I went to the computer store today and found most of my pc build cheaper or same price as newegg.

Parts I got today and 75% sure will be set n stone:

CPU - Intel Core I7 4790K Quad Core 4.0GHz 1150 - 279.99

SSD - Samsung 850 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive - 79.99

Hard Drive - WD Performance 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA III 6Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - 64.99

Memory Module - Evga 16GB 8x2 D3 1866 - 89.99 (This item had no idea what to pick so if you have better suggestion lmk)

DVD/CD Burner - ASUS DRW-24B1ST Internal DVDR/RW Burner - OEM - 19.99

Power Supply - Corsair CX Series CX750M 750 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply - 74.99

Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Universal CPU Cooler - 35.99 (op by a couple bucks but meh)

Total came to around $700 today.

BUT

I still need a gfx card, motherboard, and tower. This is where I need help.

GFX Question - I have watched so many vids and read so many reviews and haven't seen much of a difference between the GTX 970 and R9 390.
So if anyone has anything that they can say that can help me make an ultimate decision lmk.

Motherboard Question - No idea where to go with this one once again have watched many vids and read a lot of reviews and still do not know what to get. To throw an item out there I was leaning towards z97 gaming 5, 6, or 7 or Asus Maximus XII. Only reason I thought maybe the z97 gaming 6 would be good cuz it has a 3.1 usb port but didn't see any cases that supported this.

Tower - Same thing no idea except I know I would rather have a mid tower over a large as the larges are ridiculously big

Please leave comments below, criticism, ideas, suggestions welcome!

return the shitty psu, and get a better one for cheaper

get 390 or 970 depending on the price

ur not gonna be hardcore OCing so overpaying for 6,7, maximus etc. is waste of $$$
