•Budget: ~150CAD
•More specific use (what games, what programs): Tablet's main purpose is for reading my E-textbooks for university, went back to school to finish up some things and they provide E-textbooks only or I can buy the actual textbook but figured a tablet would be cheaper.
•Planned time until purchase: ASAP
•Do you have any specific preferred components?: Bigger the screen the better, need to be able to load the website and it shows one page at a time so a quick loading for online browsing (internet at home is plenty quick)
•Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): Ontario, Canada

Thanks everyone, I don't know anything about tablets at all and what a good minimum is..

E/ this is an example of something http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00SCS41K2?keywords=10%20inch%20tablet&qid=1438694712&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

I don't believe the e-textbooks are downloadable and need to be viewed online through their website is that device capable of doing so? All the other features of a tablet aren't necessary trying to keep costs down and just using this tablet for school. I get distracted on my computer and need to find a place to sit down away from my computer to do my studies. If I'm on my computer I procrastinate by gaming.

For something so basic almost anything is going to work
I don't see whats wrong with that one, but personally i would buy something used to save more cash.
tons of used tablets available all the time.

Thanks I'll check e-bay/craigslist/local ads.

I do agree and definitely cheaper the better as long as it's got a decent screen size I think I would prefer 10 inches minimum but I could be wrong as I've never used a tablet.

I'd say its just preference. Ive read on a 10 inch and a 7 inch for school and I kind of prefer my 10 inch just so i can zoom in or zoom out more flexibly depending on my needs with that particular book.
If you're 100% strictly just reading on it, I would say maybe keep an open mind about 7 inch, as they tend to be cheaper or have better specs for same price.

The only thing I may suggest is keep an eye out for something that is at least android 4.0 or higher.
Older will versions will work and be totally acceptable, but if you ever wanted to use it for something more, you could end up being really limited by older android versions in terms of apps/compatibilities.
