8gb ram
500gb ssd samsung evo
windows 10

Dont remember my motherboard dont know where to look to find this

Kinda want to upgrade it to play new games, run starwars battlefront etc

As long as it's a quality 500w you should be fine for most gpu's

300-400 cad

also, what would happen, for example if i have a 300w and a new gpu ? would it break my computer because not enough power?

if you buy used, you can get a r9 290 with a new 600w+ psu
if not, gtx 960 with a new psu 550w+
