So! my friend asked me to help him make a computer, he just wants to play simple games and shit
nothing too fancy. Im a noob at making PCs but i said i would try to help and i had some old stuff in the closet

So hidden in the closet was this

i3 - 2100 CPU
EVGA 460gtx graphic card
500gb Seagate HD
750W power supply
A black case

I would like to use these parts as to make the most cheapest thing i can get up and running for him.

So can anyone help me choose a Motherboard and RaM that would suit this PC?

Budget is around 100-200 for those last 2 items


I should probably say, he wants something cheap. Best game he prob wants to play is Star craft 2.

You've got an older generation cpu with a 1155 socket. You're best bet is to look on kijiji/Craig's list/3bay for a mother board. It'll be nearly impossible to find a new motherboard in that generation.

No sense getting a Z75 for a non-OC chip.

I know. I just had the filter set to ATX boards so the cheap ones didn't show up. Just a habit to filter that :S
