Hi All,

I've been looking into getting a new PC lately for gaming with a budget of around 1000 dollars(absolute max of 1200).

Found a premade build which looks good to me and price is about the same as getting the separate components. Could you take a look and let me know if you have any suggestions?

What kind of monitor should I be looking for with this setup?

CPU - Intel Core i7-4790, 3.6GHz/4GHz, 8MB cache Motherboard - ASUS B85M-G, PCI Express 3.0, USB 3.0, SATA-3/6G
Memory - Kingston HyperX 8GB 1866MHz DDR3
SSD - 120GB Kingston V300 Series SATA-3
HDD - 2TB 7200rpm SATA-3/6G
GPU - GeForce GTX 970 4GB DDR5 VGA
Box - Cooler Master Elite Knight 350(what a terrible name for a box) PowerSupply - Cooler Master Elite Power 600W

I can choose different GPUs and save some money, I dont know much about them but having 4 gigs memory in it sounds reassuring:

Basic version: nVidia GeForce GTX 960 2GB DDR5
Upgrade 1: GeForce GTX 960 4GB DDR5 VGA
Upgrade 2: GeForce GTX 970 4GB DDR5 VGA

Is there much difference between upgrade 1 and 2?

I dont have problems with building the PC if necessary, used to do that back when S3 trio cards were the thing. However the convinience of a premade PC or at least getting all the components from the same place would be welcome.

not worth it if that's around 1k.

locked CPU,
unknown mobo
only 120gb ssd
970 >>>>>>> 960, so yes it's worth upgrading to 970
shitty powersupply

you should just build a custom.
