You can get a FX-9370 and h100i cooler for less than an i7 by itself. The FX has a higher base clock and you can OC those things to 5ghz. They do use a lot more power though. Thoughts?

I7 yields better performance per core, cooler and all around the better option, besides price. You can get a cheaper 8320/e option to overclock around 5GHz.

What would you need this for?

if only amd had new mobos
even if performance n power round same
intels mobos features are way 2 far ahead
