I'm looking to get a "decent" gaming PC or a PC that can handle the few games I play with relative ease. Not sure where to start or how to even look for the correct specs.

Games I play:

Diablo 2 LOD
Counter Strike Global Offensive
Smite

Anyone got any tips or advice or links to pre-built PCs that can handle these?

I'm not a HUGE gamer but I do play CS:GO every day for at least an hour.

I don't want to spend much on this either, a few hundred bucks would be cool.

My budget would be like $500, it isn't much but my laptop won't be able to keep on all this for much longer if I keep using only this.

Edit: I hear building a PC is the way to go. As I've said earlier those are the 3 games I play. I mean I can run them all fine on my HP Pavilion g7 laptop but I think its time I get a desktop.

Budget: $500
More specific use (what games, what programs): Diablo 2 LOD, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Smite
Planned time until purchase: Next 2 weeks
Do you need an Operating System?: Probably not (As long as I can plug my HDD in and install my Windows 7 ultimate I have on it)
Do you have any specific preferred components?: No
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: Not sure what a sound card is, hoping its wireless on the other part but I can plug an Ethernet cord in if need be and to save $
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: stock
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: I might need a monitor but I'm sure I can find a cheap one somewhere
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 46383
Are you okay with doing Mail In Rebates?: I suppose

In addition, please let us know if the cost of windows or peripherals such as monitor/mouse/keyboard are included in the budget.
Which btw, if they are Id suggest upping the budget just a bit. and encourage you to use MicrosoftSoftwareSwap on reddit to get it for 20 dollars. otherwise it's in the ballpark of 90 dollars.

Edited the first topic. You guys are now throwing out words I have no idea what they mean -,-

Like I said my laptop can run these games pretty smoothly and I have a HP Pavilion G7 so not sure if that helps.

why would you recommend him a pre built???
not only that, but telling him to get the best gpu a shitty prebuilds come with, only to spend more to replace it with a 750ti... dafak?

Keep in mind OP, prices on these parts change often as every couple days, so any builds given by anyone atm, won't be the same cost in 2 weeks.
