MB: ASUS M5A78LM LX PLUS
CPU: AMD Quad Core 4x3.8GHz Turbo (AMD FX 8350)
Ram: 8GB DDR3-1600 Kingston
GPU: ATI Radeon R7 260X 2GB
Raijintek Arcadia
Power supply : 600W

The reason why I'm asking is because I keep getting a BSOD http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=72631920&f=34 I made a post about it and so on the web someone mentioned about faulty ram and because I didn't keep the box for my PC that was built by SGXTECH here in Montreal, 30 minute drive from my house, I have voided my warranty.

Essentially I want to know how much I can upgrade my PC without having to buy a new one, that means I keep the CPU, change the Ram and GPU and also maybe the power supply and add an ssd. (which will be in the near future hopefully)

I'm not sure I fully understand the question...You can upgrade as little or as much of the PC as you want without buying a new one.

However before replacing any hardware I would consider asking some of the more error-savvy members of the CHD forum in the misc help section
http://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=199
though you might get someone to reply in this forum.

If none of them can help you, I would reinstall windows before changing parts.

The only thing that would really benefit you in terms of upgrading is GPU and an SSD :]
Once you are actually ready to buy parts, you need to list your budget.

the parts im focusing on is gpu, ram, maybe if needed the power supply too and an ssd. whats the best gpu i can go with without my pc burning without having to change mb and cpuand possibly the power supply? As far as ram what is the 1600? I will ask about the bsod but from what i read it was a faulty piece in my pc or hardware. i dont have a budget brcause i dont know how much i can upgrade my current build.

if youre getting BSOD and not completely sure what it means. use BlueScreenView. http://nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

start with the basics. try cleaning the dust and reapplying the thermal paste on your cpu. make sure everything is connected properly

Error 124 is a hardware issue.

Go here:
https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
Download the free version. Screenshot the main window and post it here. The reason I ask is because an FX-8350 is an 8 core processor clocked at 4.5 GHz not a quad at 3.8 GHz.

Restart your PC and enter the BIOS. From there just Load Optimized Defaults. That will reset any overclocking or other adjustments to your PC.

Reseat your RAM. When you do this, use some air duster to clean out the DIMM slot. Sometimes dust can get into the slot and cause connection errors.

Download HWMonitor and Prime95. Run Prime95 and keep an eye on your system temperatures. Your computer looks to be running on a stock cooler. You may experience some pretty high temperatures running Prime95. However, don't worry about it as you only need to run the test for about 2 minutes to check for heat issues. If within those few minutes your computer crashes its likely a heat issue. Take off the CPU cooler and clean the contact plate as well as the cpu lid with a little isopropanol on a microfiber cloth. Reapply thermal paste and place the cooler back on the CPU. Also, consider upgrading to an aftermarket cooler.

This is the last post ill do about the bsod here because i don't want it to be closed for off topic stuff, i made a bsod thread in the proper forum http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=72658219&f=199

this is when my pc is not doing much, like only chrome is open and i'm browsing. The hottest it goes is when i play gw2 it goes up to 60 celcius (mb) and 50 celcius (gpu and cpu)
As for the quad core, they must've changed the build because they added new builds that weren't there when I bought mine.
