Video Card Question - Topic

Hi. I'm trying to get back into casual gaming and several years ago the GTX 560 Ti was considered a good mid range card.

Whats the todays equivalent? I tried looking online but my being unfamiliar with the cards these days made it hard to determine which was good and all.

Basically I'm not going to spend on a GTX 900+

But I dont wanna lowball something that I'll have to change in a year.

Well AMD's most recent high end has kind of fallen into mid-range in terms of price range.
290 can be purchased for about 240-250 if you do the rebate.

Otherwise if you are talkng actual mid range, you have the Gtx 960 [$200ish] or the R9 280/285 [$160ish]

the 960 isnt on there, but it performs very similarly to the 280, so i would just use a 280 as a "mock" 960.

Wait a couple months. Amd is releasing their new line up next week and you should see price fluctuations for a lot of cards.
