I've got 2012 Acer Aspire V3-551-8613 that I picked up DOA from someone on Kijiji for fifty bucks.

This model came with the a8-4500m processer, and 8gb of ram. The APU seems to hold well and had some decent reviews. This was a 700 laptop when new. The higher grade 1100 model was the v3-551G with a10-5750m.

Would the a10-5750M be compatible? The chipsets are identical and I can get a refurbished processor for $50 one bay right now. But I'm unsure if there's a difference in Bios requirements (will it recognize it) power consumption ect.

Will it work?!
