First set:

FX 4300 paired with GTX 750 ti or AMD Radeon r7 260x/265x 2GB DDR5 -- 500-550$ build

or

intel i3 4150 w/ GTX 750 ti (better performance overall over the 4300 but about 80$ more --- 600$ build

OR.

i5 4690k devils canyon w/ a 760 or 9xx 700-800$ build.

current : Laptop amd a6 3400m (OC'd with kstat to 1.8 base/2.8 turbo) amd 6520g integrated, i can play newer games on low low settings even but looking at a 500-700 build, even a 400$ build (no pentium g lol)

possibly going to build in winter seeing as i have no time, but whats the communities take? i been searhing for about a week about cpu/gfx cards

i watched yotube vd of 4300 paired with 760 running BF HL on high settings, but im thinking of going intel, even if its an i3 (will upgrade later on, i would spend the 289 on the 4570k but... idk)

also looking at around 500 + PS and 8GB - 16GB ram (gskill ripjaws x)

e/

not may other specs/ mobo/ram/ps/hd because these are my biggest factors on deciding

Skylake will be out by the time you build in the winter time.

make a new thread, with the sticky questions filled out when you plan to purchase a build 2-3 days prior in winter time.
prices change all the time, and new technologies will be out by then.

To give you an example of how badly you're being ripped off with those 3 builds,

Total is $773.69 , after MIR it is only $713

if you were impressed by a 760, u'd be blown away with 290 performance for only $219.99

why.. if your budget is 600-700..
anyways you should switch out that psu before upgrading anything else

at first i was budgeting around 600-700, then found the kit, it was 50-100$ cheaper than separately.

what is wrong with the PSU?
