He wouldn't utilize that amd builds cores, and just out of curiousity why do you say a pent and 6970 won't last too long, but I'm guessing our relative scopes of long are probably different.

if it's just "light stuff" especially for csgo, all the more reason to get the 6core.
it'll feel smoother when he has few shit open like skype/ts/vent/browsers etc.etc. , unless ur friend legit disables everything, and only have csgo running

6970 is an outdated card, you should never buy a tech that's half a decade old when there's better options available
same goes for psu, should never cheap out on those, and get at least a bronze certified, w/ a reputable oem
