I'm just trying to format my SSD to install windows for my new computer

You can just do quick format.

just format it in the windows installer

select custom (advanced) or whatever during installation and you can manage your disks

Generally no very few people have knowledge to recover the data anyways. The people that can have better things to do generally

yes it's mostly used by criminals, governments, and corporations
