Looking to finally get myself a rig

Budget: 750-850
More specific use (what games, what programs): lol, FPS(cod,hardline,others), gmod, H1Z1
Planned time until purchase: 1-2 days
Do you need an Operating System?: no
Do you have any specific preferred components?: hdmi hookup to tv, blue light case
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: yes

so this is probably going to be it?
sry for the hackeling, just trying to make sure this investment would be a good one.
i know little of computer hardware and just want to feel a little more comfortable with the purchase.
also with this board, will there be more that 2 usb ports? i 4got to mention i was going to need 4 open usb slots

its a great build.

here are the usb ports on the motherboard
6x USB 3.0/2.0 Ports (4 rear, 2 via header), 8x USB 2.0/1.1 Ports (2 rear, 6 via headers)

you dont need them but if you have some, no harm in using them.
There is no optical drive. if you need one you can add one in, but otherwise dont get one if you wont use it.

If you wanted to save some money without compromising performance too much you could switch to this

All i did was change gtx 970 to an r9 290 and your psu to something 600 watts and it clocks in at 80 bucks cheaper.
otherwise, i think secksii gave you a fine build. :)

edit; heres a comparison of the 290 vs the 970

970 is ahead by about 10% sometimes, but the 290 is ahead by about 5-10% sometimes, so fairly negligible performance difference in most cases.
