I have 2 builds and I do not know if it is worth the extra money for the 4690k

If you can afford an intel processor after getting an R9 290 [or a Gtx 970 for 50 bucks more] then do that. Otherwise Get AMD + better graphics because that will give you better performance. :)

I also switched out the PSU to give you Modular + extra watts that are nice to have, for only $10 more.

it would really depend on what you plan to do with it.
also, both builds are outdated, a lot of the prices changed

Post in July if you're buying in July lol. New processors might be out by then and sales will definitely be different.

None of the games are particularly demanding, but you'll get better performance out of SC2 and WoW on an Intel processor.
