fill out sticky questions to get the best help

no point getting a locked CPU, with a overpriced motherboard made for overclocking.
waste of $$ on that cooler
could save $$$ on cheaper rams
shitty GPU on a 1k tower budget
wasting too much $$ on a hard drive
better PSU options at that price point

u need a wireless adapter to connect to internet wirelessly

NCIX will price match and even build it for you for $50 more...or for $75 more they will even install and tweak Windows for you.

Well change the AMD build to this: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/qBpc7P

I would get the 970 in the first AMD build, and maybe get Windows 8.1 through University or the like.

You need an SSD for the boot time to be fast. And install windows on that.

You need a wireless card to connect to wifi. you can get a PCI one [one that is internal on your mobo] or a USB one [that you plug into a usb].

would that video card be overkill though?

wouldnt a 2gb work fine? like the one I originally had?

/e It's not just the VRAM... http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1130?vs=1068

/ee This would be a bit more future proof. And will play the games you listed. You can always upgrade the vid card later. :/

Feel free to use this tool to compare GPU performance. The vram is just 1 part of the equation.
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU14/815

As long as you aren't doing something that specifically requires an intel processor, then more graphics power > I5 processor.
If you are limited by a budget I would make sure you at least include a Gtx 970 or an R9 290 in your build as ghot has posted. [that is, before getting an intel processor over amd]
If you need to cut back on price once including cards like that, drop back on your processor to something like an AMD FX 8320.

Also that Azio keyboard sucks pretty bad. I had one and the I[ or E key...was a vowel either way] key needed to be pressed way harder [pretty much had to mash it] than all other keys and in general felt cheap.
