Hey guys

I've been here before, i know if you're like *not this guy again*
But for once i actually hold the money in my hand, to purchase this upgrade.
I have also done some other pc updates, so the cpu is really requiring some help.

I've been looking arround a bit, and found 3 options, which i think looks good.

First my current pc situation.

Stats:
FX 8320 Cpu
R9 280 Gfx
700 w Gpu
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 SocketAM3+ MB
SSD 128 gb

Now for the Cpu Fans i've been looking at.

Noctua NH-D14
Phanteks PH-TC14PE
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

I also need Thermal Paste, please let me know the best kind aswell

The CM 212 evo is super cheap, but don't know if it's as effective as i want it to be.

I like the Phanteks, because it has a remote like my current one has, which i like.

I'm looking for it to be super quiet. The more the better. I'm currently not OC'ing my pc, but i want the option as to be able to in the future,
so i would like the CPU fan to be strong enough to handle this.

I'm also looking for Case Fans, but i have no idea which is good, and it's not the most important right now
I can hold7? i think, case Fans. I would need a split connection thingy for this amount of fans though.

Do you have any specific reason to pick nh-d14 over the others?

I think they're 140, and ty for the links

e/ and the case fan nfa14, does it matter if it says flx? I can see it's cheaper

CM Hyper 212 EVO

the PWM has 4pin connection
and the FLX only got 3pins.

PWM = pulse width modulation


You don't need any custom thermal paste. The one that follows the nh-d14 is great as it is

because you get the most out of it per $$$ aka. cost efficient.
you don't have a great mobo to OC with, and not planning to OC hardcore anyways.
so basically you're overpaying for DH14's silence.
212 evo isn't loud either, it's just not as quiet as the dh14 which is a given for the price you're paying

I run the nh-d14 myself and my friends run the 212.

nh-d14's is quieter than 212 aswell as giving lower degrees than the 212.
It's only a matter of price and size compatibility




that mobo isn't the best to oc with. But it's not bad either. He can get good oc results anyway with this.


but as I said before, it's all a matter of price and if it fits your chassi!

You guys do make a good argument

I mean the 212 is half the price.

And i honestly have no idea how much the difference in quiet is.
Currently my cooler master which i have, has a broken smth, dno what, but smth makes it noisy and irritating.
