Budget: $400-500
More specific use (what games, what programs): Mostly will be playing low end games; League, CS:GO, but still want a decent GPU.
Planned time until purchase: Will be purchasing parts from now till mid May, won't be around to my computer till late April.
Do you need an Operating System?: No
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Only needing Mobo, CPU, GPU, Ram, SSD
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: No, stock sound card will be fine.
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: Already have an aftermarket CPU cooler, will probably need a newer Artic Silver thermal paste if that thing tends to "expire"
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: In a market for a BenQ 24in gaming monitor, no, and no.
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 75019

Already have the old Antec 900 case, CD drive, and a 700W PSU. Old, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

TD:LR, looking mostly for a i5 + good mobo + 8 gigs of ram? idk if I need 16... 256 gb SSD, could be 128 since I will have extra hard drives for storage.
Already have 2 HD 685O's in Crossfire, could use that until I decide to play a more "graphic intensive" game.

I'm currently out of the country and won't be back till late April but I already know what I would like in my new tower, just trying to get the best deals as they come so I can build it completely whenever I get back.

Thanks again JSP!!!

I expected i5's to be cheaper than that.
I should also add that I can go to Micro Center in Dallas whenever I get back as well. Heard they have a lot of stuff for a fair price.

it's $20 cheaper at micro center,
though you should bump this thread when you get back since price will all change by then

very true. do you think the processor will be any cheaper than 200 in a month? I might just ask a relative to go get me that processor incase the price goes up.
also, 한국인 입니까?

hard to say, the cheapest i remember is 179.99 at microcenter,
but it's usually $200.
Other vendors usually are at ~$220

I got 2 of these SSDs while I had a promo code so I won't be needing one anymore.

Main question here is if a i5 4690k will bottleneck a xfire hd 6850's..
I'm trying to spend a good amount on an ASUS mobo that won't fail on me.
