Hello,

I am interested in upgrading my current desktop so it can run a lot smoother and play games more smooth and hopefully be able to play the game Lost Ark if it gets released and is available to get.

I made my computer approximately 4-6 years ago and made some upgrades slowly overtime as I had a fixed budget back then.

This was my original build:

MSI P67A-G43 (B3) P67 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 2PCI-E16 3PCI-E 2PCI CrossFireX SATA3 USB3 Motherboard
TP-Link TL-WN951N Wireless N Triple Antenna Network Adapter Card 802.11B/G/N 2.4GHZ MIMO PCI
Antec Basiq BP550 Plus 550W 24PIN ATX 12V V2.2 80PLUS Modular Active PFC Power Supply
G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL Ripjaws PC3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Core i5 1.5V Memory Kit
Western Digital WD Caviar Blue 320GB SATA 6GB/S 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 3.5IN Internal Hard Drive
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366 LGA1155 LGA1156 120mm
Coolermaster Haf 912 Black Mid Tower ATX Case 4X5.25 1X3.5 6X3.5INT No PS Front USB Sound
EVGA E-GEFORCE 9500GT 550MHZ 1GB 800MHZ DDR2 VGA DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Video Card
Intel Core i5 2400 Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.1GHZ Sandy Bridge 6MB

Since then, I have made the following upgrades:

Nvidia GTX 560
Asus USB-N53 Wireless Adapter
8 Gb Ram - 2x 4gb 1600 gskill sticks
Samsung 120gb ssd
Logitech g400 mouse
Azio Levetron Mech5 Keyboard
Asus MX279H Monitor

Just looking for some opinions on what I should upgrade for it and if its possible to make upgrades with the major parts of my computer.

I know I would like a new video card and keyboard for sure but don't really know how to choose a video card.

As for budgets, it really depends on the parts but I don't mind paying a little more if it's a big improvement.

Let me know your opinions on what you think I should upgrade for my computer.

I live in Toronto, Canada but I don't mind ordering stuff online or anything like that. There's places like ncix I can pick up stuff as well.

Let me know any additional information you may need and thanks ahead of time for your opinions and time.

A gtx 970 for 390$ be a good upgrade

CPUs still decent

But that I don't see other worthwhile upgrades

Unless u wanna spend 350 on cpu-mobo

I think GPU be best upgrade for you

U can pick it up at ncix toronto no shipping fee

I agree, a gpu seems like the only worthwhile upgrade. your system should be running fine.
If you havent done a clean install of windows recently, might smooth up your system to do that.

Otherwise, just get a new card and youll be okay.
Feel free to use this tool to compare cards. [edit: i used ti because they dont have the regular 560 in there. the ti is a small bit stronger so the differences will actually be a bit greater than you're seeing]

I've put in a 970 here for comparison to your card, its a pretty huge leap

Here's comparison to a 290, which are running about 310 AR/330.

Depends on your budget. you can go cheaper as well if you don't have the cash to spare. R9 280 is also a decent upgrade, and it's only about 220.

amd r9 290 is 240$ right now after mail in rebate ( 260$ before hand ) for sapphire tri-x. also, 280x would be an upgrade or a gtx 760 or even 960.

BUT, what games you playing? because it may not really be worth the money for you, if your just playing some non-demanding games. like a used 660 Ti can be had for like 100-115$

Thanks for the replies!

I currently play diablo 3 and will most likely get lost ark when it comes out.

I dont believe i really need the 970 for the games that i do play. Probably looking to pay around 100-250 after taxes for a video card.

As for keyboards, i believe i should go into a store to see the comfort level of each one. Im looking for a mechanical one. Dont really use macros or anything but itd be nice if it looks sick and possibly lights up and isnt too loud for a mechanical keyboard.
I heard the best bang for the buck is the g710 for my needs.

Any opinions on what else to look for in a keyboard or any to look at when i go into some stores like best buy?

plus 30$ mail in rebate

3bay would be cheaper, and can probably get a Ti version, but after the rebate its not a bad price and would be brand new. also, i don't see a power supply in your recent upgrades, so in my opinion you will want a new one. as for keyboard, try different switch types if possible to see what you like. a red or brown will be quieter for you.

these links are showing up as mobile since i'm on my phone. let me know if they don't work for you.

Lost ark is a long way away from being released.

I would suggest building up your budget and buy more meaningful upgrades since there is time.

Even though you don't technically need an amazing computer to run Diablo 3, having the available capabilities available is ideal if you run into the chance where you want to play a graphically demanding game.
