it'll be a fun build, especially since your gonna overclock. many people posting don't wanna overclock :(

I'm sticking with a 1080p monitor for now... but I'll be buying a 1440 soon enough. No multiple monitors.

reason i put a 980 in there is that 1440p will be more demanding. granted, if you don't think you'll be playing new graphic intense games, then you'll be fine. even with a 970, you'll be fine. it's just a matter of wanting every bit of performance, to max everything out at 1440p.

the 970 is a better bang for buck, so keep that in mind. you decide on when to purchase? might wanna bump when you do, new sales might be out.
