AMD FX 8350 8 core 4 GHZ processor --> should i replace this with an i5 quadcore processor? Looking to get best performance per price

MSI 970 Gaming motherboard
2 x 4 gb G.Skill Sniper Series ram
GTX 760
Power: 650 wat corsair model

The 970 gaming board can get that processor to 4.8ghz+

Take your time overclocking, it will happen.

Depends on what you do but if it's mostly gaming you do then not necessary, can stick with the 8350 and it'll be fine. Especially since you'd have to get another board too.

Get an aftermarket cooler (didn't mention whether or not you have aftermarket or stock CPU cooler), like a Hyper Evo 212, it's normally around $30 and will do the job. Overclock the 8350 to get a bit more out of it ;)
