Hey guys, looking for an intel processor/mobo to upgrade my rig. My current build is here:

This amd chip isn't holding up that great when it comes to streaming and doing other things, so I've been tempted to upgrade to an intel set.
I'll be doing twitch streaming (Usually playing GW2) gaming ofc, and some light video editing.
Budget is ~$300, i'll go to 400 if I really need to. Also if it holds up while recycling the hyper 212 cooler that'd be great, don't think I want the h2o's yet.

lol i had a 8350 its quite good for streaming and gaming. i dont see how that computer isnt doing what u want.

if you wanted anything more ud go for i7 with ht but your amd is more than enought tbh.

My usage hits 90% when I stream and play, although it's only running 4.2ghz atm, unless maybe I oc'ed a lil more.

try higher oc.

and going to an i5 wouldnt help much id say ud have to jump to an i7 if ur multi tasking that much. or overclock to close to 5 gigs should help

Seems hard to believe but if you want to go intel grab the i5-4690k, UNLESS you don't mind paying the extra $100 for the i7-4790k. With the Hyper EVO you could easily push the i5-4690k to 4.0, which is the base clock for the i7. If you pushed it to 4.4 then that's the turbo'd version of the i7. The difference between the 2 cpu's is the i7 has Hyperthreading and another 2MB of L3 cache, which in your case, I'd say is irrelevant, i5-4690k would handle your workload no problem. Hyperthreading would be great, especially for the video editing, but you're saying it's light and HT would be more tuned for professional level jazz.

I don't see how your 8320 ain't doin' the job, might be a bottleneck / problem elsewhere in your rig but I can't see it.
Only thing I'd say, upgrade your motherboard, I'd say it's sub-par (I've had this mobo) and might be hindering your 8320 / 970.
I was able to turbo my 8350 on that board to 4.3 but just had stock cooler so didn't get crazy with it.
I had this mobo, 8350 and a gtx 760 and I streamed with no issue, fyi.

Plenty of knowledgeable peeps on here that can help you out, give it some time for more responses before you spend a bunch of money you don't need to, I'm with Toilet in that you shouldn't be having issues...

Also...

What program do you use for streaming? OBX? What's the issue(s) when you're streaming? Maybe your settings need re-adjusted? Poor internet connection?
