I started this rig a few years ago, and I've just been upgrading things as necessary. Recently I updated my 965 with the A10 along with a new motherboard and RAM. Thought I would share it with everyone. Even if it isn't the strongest build, it runs anything very well and I had a lot of fun building it which I'm sure everyone here understands :D. Oh and the desk I took these pictures on is my wife's, mine has a lot of paperwork on it from work.

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Seriries 8GB (2 x 4gb) 1600 DDR3 x 2 sets
CPU: AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHZ
Motherboard: ASUS Crossblade Ranger
GPU: XFX R9-280x 3GB GDDR5 - I've had this for about a year, planning on buying a second one
CPU Cooling: Corsair H100I
SSD: Samdsung SSD 840 evo 250GB
HDD: Seagate Hybrid Drive - 2TB
PSU: Corsair XC750
Fans: 2 x 120 (I love these); 1 x 120mm (different than other two), 1 x 140mm, 2 x 230mm (by these I mean - http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/jetflo-120-red/)
Monitoring: AeroCool Touch 2100 - Not really necessary, actually got to fill in two panels that I had missing :(, looks cool though

what made you choose the A10? you have a video card

I was going to go with the latest FX, but a friend recommended I stick with the A10. I'll be honest, I didn't investigate it as much as I normally would, but his point was that the A10 with this setup should be stronger overall compared to the FX.

stronger not even close but its decent. you should overclock it good mang that increase performance.

The buddy that consulted me is typically right like 9/10 out of the time, but now I'm wishing I actually went with my gut feeling or at least looked into a bit further. Oh well, bench marks put them fairly close from what I can tell. I'll definitely need to overclock it.

well cpu strenght wise there arent equal but once overclocked will be enought for games.
