bump this within 3 days of planned purchase
your budget is crazy for your needs, your just gonna want a decent amount of ram, good cpu and a decent sized SSD. hell i'd just get a used gpu off 3bay for 50$ or even less. the bigger question will be on what kind of peripherals you want. mechanical keyboard? what grip for mouse? do you need wireless card AND sound? ( i wouldn't get a sound card, but let us know your reasons )

For teh lulz

On a more serious note, each instance of D2 uses ~128 MB of RAM in a one player game on Bnet. Just to run D2, you'll need approximately 18.75 GB of RAM.

This is interesting, can you or anyone else elaborate? Of course I'd prefer to spend less, just as long as it is going to be effective.

Gotcha. I could definitely buy it within a day or 2 if it's under 1k. Cheaper the better but again, I'm okay with paying more I just want to make sure it meets my needs.

I don't need a fancy keyboard or mouse. Basic wireless ones are fine. I'd like a decent sized monitor though, and probably a second monitor (not required at the moment if it's too much though).

i would think an 8320, some random old cheap gpu like a 450 ti, 16GB of RAM, and a decent sized SSD is all you need. memory support on mobo should be 32GB incase the 16 isn't enough. someone here will make something for you, if you will purchase now ( or within a few days atleast ) like you say you will. otherwise, bump when ready.
