The processor has been overclocked to 3.36 ever since I bought it. I just bought the gfx card and ssd a few months or so ago. Everything else is like 4 years old. The most intensive game I play is d3 and this build runs it decent until screen is packed with monsters. Then it's a little sluggish but not terrible. I just want it to be able to play as smooth as possible on highest settings

I'm assuming mobo and cpu needs upgraded but idk what to buy that will work with current set up

United States and the budget is whatever to run d3 smoothly at highest settings. Obviously don't need to spend more than what I need to

What is your zip code..

my suggestion is a new cpu + mobo + an ssd.... SSD helps load times on D3 when loading maps etc..

Zip code is what will decide your cpu/mobo

and probably 4more gb of ram if you know the make and model of your current ram

82718 is zip, I do have an ssd but its only like a 128gb I think. I have d3 installed to it, and it definitely helps when joining games/going into portals, just when monsters fill the screen is when it bogs down a bit.

I will have to look at ram when I get home, I thought I had 8gb, but I see now that it only shows 4gb on speccy. I took screenshot while in teamviewer since I am not at home currently.

What is the make and model of your ram.. do you remember?

These will be a large improvement on CPU/Mobo vs your current.

Just got on cpuz and checked, its 2x 2gb sticks instead of 2x 4gb I was thinking I had. So if it would just be easier to purchase new ram, I am ok with that.

ocz

ocz3soe1600lv2g is the part number cpuz shows

ddr3
max bandwidth: 667mhz

Is that ram pretty decent? I see newegg only had 1 review and outletpc had zero reviews? Ram can cost a bit more if it needs to.
