Hello friends,

I've finally got back on track financially and it's time to treat myself with some nice upgrades!

Current parts built a few years ago is this
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/lVlark/saved/4qMZxr

I don't have a set budget, but I most likely wont spend over 600$ in total. I want to upgrade soon so I will be looking for deals and probably order parts in the next few days.

I was thinking of upgrading my motherboard and graphic card and maybe my processor to an intel? I have not had much issues with my current processor but i was thinking of trying intel.

I dont need case, mouse, keyboard, monitor, psu, ram, hdd.

Might buy ssd but not sure yet. Is it a hassle to install to a computer that is already built and that i wont reformat?

Shipping to Ottawa, Ontario.

Thanks for the help!

Yeah I was looking into 970's today. What is the biggest difference between that one and the higher models?

also for the SSD, like stated above, do i need to reformat to be able to install it properly? I've never had one and not sure how it works

If you buy an SSD you will need to reformat.
the only model above 970 is a 980, and it has more performance. Most people regard the price as not worth it, because its over 600 dollars and it's only about 15-25% better at most.

I agree that you don't need to go intel but if you already buy an SSD you can [since changing mobo you'd have to reformat anyway]

since the 8320 is still considered a modern and functional CPU, i would just overclock it, buy the ssd and buy the GPU and call it a day. :)

Any reason for the Zotac over other kinds?
Not sure if i'm buying a PSU, haven't noticed a problem with mine. Maybe its time to upgrade it tho its pretty cheap
