I've had problems with amd, and personally find intel cpus better :

/e - Sorry I have not answered your question properly, i5 are fine with me as well, I simply want a really good computer which will last, my budget can be a bit more than 1500 as well

Add an SSD if you want to. About $100.

Yeah, I'll add an SSD.
Furthermore, what's better between the 4790k and the 4690k?
I don't really plan on overclocking, thus having the i7 would be better wouldn't it be?

I really like the ARC 647 for the case, but I'm not totally sure that it's available in Canada.

Would that be fine? I'm thinking about water cooling instead, any recommendations?

H100i for the cooler if you want to do that. As for the i5 vs i7, you won't notice any performance difference in many things at all. You can overclock the i5 to 4.0 GHz to match the i7 or even to 4.4 GHz to match the i7's Turbo speed. Then, you'll only be missing Hyperthreading (which games don't use) and 2 MB of L3 cache.

Also, that case is fine if you like the way it looks.

The case is fine...look it up on Newegg and read the Overview....the HDD cages are removable or re-arrangeable for long vid cards.

/e Well the Fractal Design Define R4 or R5 is a much better case...but...some folks like those flashy cases.

/ee I would also get the ASUS Z97-A motherbaord...it has better heatsinks...or if you plan on serious OCing...get the ASUS Maximus VII Hero.
