Any parts you guys would swap out for in my list?

From looking over it:

- If you're going to use it for editing/rendering/VMs etc., you should probably go i7/Xeon instead of i5.
- If you're not, 16 GB is overkill and wasted 50$ for no performance gain
- Mainboard = wasted 50$ for no performance gain
- PSU is oversized and wasted another 50$ for no difference
- CPU cooler is worse than most decent air coolers and will be loud as hell (assuming you want to use the k-CPU to its full potential)

Poor choice of PSU within that price range.. could've got the godly superflower PSU with evga's support & 10yr warranty for cheaper.
overpriced optical drive that's rarely used nowadays
could've been fine with a caviar blue, and got a 256SSD instead

Why do people always say 16gb is overkill... I put 8gb in a second gaming rig and a few games are creeping up on 6.5gb and I only have a few apps open in the background.

Hell even with my main rig with 16gb without any games open I'm using 4.06gb.

its only cause web browsers are so shit these days

at th eend of the day chrome is like at 6 gigs for me and i have like 5ish pages open qq

Same. Got FF open with 1.2gb ram used, although I have 4 instances open with a total of almost 70 tabs.

I never close shit because I hate bookmarking shit.

currently i got 7 tabs open, 1 streaming, RC,skype,steam, league running
and it's using 3.86
