generally coolmax isnt reputable for their quality. you dont want to skimp out on the power supply. for the price, i suggest getting something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371067

your friend doesnt want to spend a bit more for a better motherboard and unlocked i5?

Better Video Card.
Same Processor/MoBo - Spend $60 more to get an unlocked processor + Mobo for future overclocking.
Better PSU. The Hale82 is made by Seasonic.

Of course, you can get come parts cheaper by getting them from other vendors and not all at Newegg.

i appreciate the advice. but getting 2x 4gb sticks of ram is kind of killing it for him in the future when he gets more cash to do upgrades. also, azza makes terrible computer cases. the amount of quality that goes into them is like "made in china" junk
i do know he needs a better power supply for sure. what's this about the cpu being bad?
also that video card says on the spec page that 750 psu is required, and the psu you linked to me is 550w?

dexa's build is 9999999999999999x better than the links you posted
8gb is all you need for gaming, price will probably drop on ddr3 ram anyways in the future cos of ddr4, but 16gb is unnecessary in a low budget build.
The Thermaltake case is of similar quality of the azza case.. so
the video card spec always go overkill on how much watt you actually need, and since you're not gonna be OCing a quality psu @ 550w is plenty.
doesn't matter if you have a 1500w made in china junk psu, cos it's shit and gets rekt by a quality 500w psu.

hale82 v2 is by sirtec which is not bad either
