it's fine for your budget

if you plan on redeeming the MIR on the r9 285 it is the best price/performance, but other cards to consider in a similar price range and comparable in performance (depending on the game are the r9 280x and the gtx 960)

here is a comparison of all 3 (285, 280x, 960) in some games

If you consider the MITMR the 285 is the best bang for your buck

IF you look at the benchmarks you'll see that they all trade blows depending on game...so consider if you don't consider the MIR then consider which one performs best in your games
